Dear member or friend,
This month we are celebrating all that our congregation does in Jesus’ name within St Mark’s Lutheran Church, in our community and around the world. So that we might do even more, each member and friend of our congregation is being asked to consider increasing their giving to the congregation by 1% of their household income. This year the Stewardship Committee is asking that you increase your financial giving to both the General Fund and the Building Fund, to help maintain our beautiful worship space and make St Mark’s a thriving, welcoming church in our community by spreading God’s love.
Calculating this amount is easy. Just take the following steps:
- On the following page is a chart on which you can find your annual income and determine the amount of a 1% increase, whether you give weekly or monthly.
- Find the income that is closest to yours. If your income falls between numbers, either pick the one larger or smaller.
- Fill out the enclosed commitment card and mail it in the enclosed envelope or return it in worship this coming week to register your increase
If you currently give electronically through Breeze/Tithe.ly, use the Commitment Card to indicate your increase in giving, then update your giving in Breeze/Tithe.ly.
If you don’t currently give electronically and would like to,
- Go to https://stmarks.breezechms.com/give/online to begin giving electronically, or
- Simply begin giving at your new level using your current method of giving.
Because of you, St Mark’s Lutheran Church is doing so much. When all of us take this opportunity to increase our financial support of the congregation’s ministry, we will be able to do even more. Thanks for your participation in our congregation’s ministry.

Our congregation is a gathering of “therefore” people. We have experienced God’s great mercy. “Therefore”, we work together to proclaim that mercy in the world through both word and deed. So that we can do even more of God’s work, you are encouraged to increase your giving by 1% of your household income. Below is a chart to help with this.

This coming week you will receive an email with a Commitment Form to indicate your giving for the coming year, as well as information about automated ways of giving. Please look for this information and either bring your response to worship next week, November 8th, Commitment Sunday or mail your response to the church.
