MAKING A DIFFERENCE
At St. Mark’s, we believe in making a difference in the community where we live. Here are some of the ways we have served our community over the past several years:
- held a blood drive for the American Red Cross
- collected a Mountain of Food for the pantry at First Christian Church of Olathe
- prepared and served a meal to people in need for Johnson County Food Ministry at Center of Grace
- collect back to school suppliers for MLM (Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries)
- collected gifts for distribution at Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries (MLM) Christmas Store
- volunteer at Mission Southside helping sort clothing
- collected gift cards for Olathe Outreach for Schools
- collect diapers for Happy Bottoms
- collect clothing, towels and laundry supplies for Children’s Memorial Lutheran Church
There is always room for you to join the Community Ministry Faith In Action committee at St. Mark’s! We are a small group of believers who work together to provide opportunities for the people of St. Mark’s to serve where there are needs in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area. Our committee is a nimble, flexible group that responds to the changing needs of the community. We are always looking for new ways to serve our community! Please bring your ideas and help us be the feet and hands of our Lord and Savior! Our meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in the St. Mark’s library. We look forward to seeing you!!!
