TRUE NORTH: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World
This summer, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is delighted to partner with our neighbor, Christ Community Church of the Nazarene, to create a fantastic VBS experience. All are welcome to join us for Northwest Olathe Community VBS – you do not need to be a member of either church to participate. Activities are free of charge. What to Expect
We will begin checking in campers at 5:00 PM each evening. After checking in, we will direct your child to our Fellowship Hall where an amazing meal will be provided by our church families. All campers, staff, and their families are invited to stay for dinner. If you are not interested in having dinner at the church, arrive by 5:30 PM. Meals are currently being finalized, but example meals from prior years include taco night, Italian night, and grill out night! At 5:30 PM, we will start our opening songs. We will close at 8:00 PM.
We will open each evening with a skit and songs to prepare for a night of fellowship and fun! Campers will rotate through 4 stations each evening: KidVid Cinema (a video with a lesson), Bible Adventures (where our Pastors will walk through our Bible points), crafts/science experiments, and games! We will close the evening together with songs. Campers are divided into “Crews” which will rotate together between the stations. The ages of the students are mixed, however, the Preschool Crew rotates as one group. There will be leaders from both churches running all stations.

If your child is between the ages of three (3) years old and finishing fifth (5th) grade, use the link below so your child can participate in this year’s upcoming VBS. Children must be potty-trained to attend VBS.
Volunteer Registration
We love having the participation we’ve had over the years, but it wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers. Volunteers are those that have completed 6th grade through adult. Use the link below to register.
