St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and Central States Synod (CSS). Through Worship, Baptism, Communion, Sunday School, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School, Music Ministries and service to the larger community we share in the joy of being children of God.
About God
We believe that God is the loving Creator of the world who is still actively at work creating and renewing the life of the world and its inhabitants.
About Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, sent to the world in love to teach, heal and proclaim the Good News of God for all people. We are saved through the cross, death and resurrection of Jesus. We are connected with Jesus and become members of God’s family through the waters of Baptism. Through Baptism, we also receive the forgiveness of sins and the promise of Eternal Life in Heaven.
About Humanity
We believe that we will always have the temptation of sin in our lives, but we also believe and trust in the power of God’s gracious forgiveness of our sins when we confess our sins. As Children of God,we are called to live in love and service towards God; each other and the world around us.
